At Groupe EKOFAB, our employees are our greatest strength. They are at the heart of our innovations and our growth. Such is the case with Gisselle, who recently joined the team on a permanent contract after a successful internship. Interview.
WHO ARE YOU IN A FEW WORDS ?
Je suis ingénieure industrielle originaire du Mexique. Après mon diplôme, j’ai choisi de poursuivre un double master : en France, avec une spécialisation e
I am an industrial engineer from Mexico. After earning my diploma, I chose to pursue a double master’s degree: in France, with a specialization in sustainable industrial engineering, and in Italy, in management and systems engineering.
These experiences allowed me to gain both a technical vision of processes and a broader approach to managing and optimizing industrial systems.
On a more personal note, I love traveling, meeting people from different cultures, and exploring new activities — whether in sports, artistic discovery, or simply going away on the weekend to a new place.
YOU HAD JOINED ÉKOFAB AS AN INTERN. WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO CONTINUE THE ADVENTURE ?
What attracted me was the diversity of projects I could contribute to from the start of my internship. I was given the opportunity to explore subjects beyond my quality mission and to bring an external perspective. I felt that EKOFAB was an environment where I could grow quickly, learn about different aspects of the company, and above all be useful by proposing new ideas.
WHAT STRUCK YOU THE MOST DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP AND THAT YOU WANTED TO DEEPEN IN A PERMANENT ROLE ?
The direct connection between data analysis and what happens on the shop floor. I saw how a rigorous approach could reveal unexpected correlations between raw materials, machine parameters, and production performance. I wanted to deepen this approach in a permanent role because it allows me to combine my scientific training with a very operational dimension.
CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CURRENT ROLE AT ÉKOFAB ?
Today, I am Quality & Continuous Improvement Leader – Data Analyst. Concretely, I ensure quality control of raw materials on reception, I work with production to guarantee conformity to standards, and I develop tracking and analysis tools. My role is to turn field data into useful insights to improve processes.
I am in daily contact with operators, but also with logistics and the design office, which allows me to have a transversal view.
WHAT TECHNOLOGICAL OR METHODOLOGICAL SKILLS DO YOU USE MOST IN YOUR DAILY WORK ?
I combine the use of quality tools (root cause analysis, tracking of actions, problem-solving) with statistical analysis and data visualization. I often use correlations, performance indicators and dashboards, but also a clear communication approach to share results with on-site teams.
CAN YOU SHARE A CONCRETE EXAMPLE OF A RECENT PROJECT OR TASK THAT PARTICULARLY MOTIVATED YOU ?
A meaningful example was the analysis of mixtures used in production. By cross-referencing quality results with machine parameters, I was able to show that some problems were not linked to the material itself, but to specific process settings. It was motivating, because it allowed for a concrete solution and demonstrated the added value of a data-driven approach.
WITH WHOM DO YOU INTERACT AT ÉKOFAB OR OUTSIDE ?
I work daily with operators and the production team, but also with logistics for traceability of materials and with the design office for more in-depth analyses. This diversity of stakeholders enriches my role and allows me to maintain a global approach.
FINALLY: WHAT ADVICE COULD YOU GIVE A STUDENT WHO WISHES TO FOLLOW A SIMILAR PATH AS YOU ?
I would tell them to stay curious and proactive. Don’t be afraid to go beyond the initial mission, talk with different teams, and propose ideas. Even if they are not perfect, they can open new paths. It is this curiosity and openness that drives progress, both individually and for the company.
Gisselle’s journey at EKOFAB perfectly illustrates our philosophy: give chances to young talent, encourage curiosity, and value initiatives. By combining her sharp training and human approach, she found her place and translated data into concrete solutions for the company. Her story is proof that synergy between technical skills and an open mindset can produce tangible results and motivate teams.
We are happy to count Gisselle among us and look forward to collaborating with her on the many projects underway and to come.
